I just wanted to see what you guys thought of the new version of the SR9C. From what I gather the only difference is the elimination of the forward serrations on the slide, and a very cool engraved Ruger symbol on one side, with the "SR9C" Moved farther forward.

I really like it! I don't know if it comes in the 40c like mine but I'm currently trying to justify why having two of the same gun is a good idea.

Edit: I figured it was obvious to any SR owner but the slide is redesigned at the muzzle end if you missed it at first glace.

The lack of front serrations on the slide makes this look much better to me. Interestingly enough I remember when Ruger first released the SR9c Rev High posted that it would look much better without the front slide serrations. In my opinion he was right. It just looks less cluttered.

I agree as well. I carry the thing every day and never once have I used the front serrations that I can recall.

Isn't the 333-xxxx serial an older series of SR? I thought they moved into the 340's something over a year ago.

Mine is 333-8xxxx.. Shell casing dated 2/21/2013

Ah okay there's nothing to it then. I know a lot of times those numbers have more complicated meanings then simply running sequentially.

I've pretty much decided I want it. I'll be keepin an eye out. Next I'm going to attempt to research and see how many of these Ruger's planning to make. I'll post back if I find anything worthwhile but this kinda info sometimes is unknowable, because they might not even know yet.

That's a nice looking gun...I like the nitride slide better than the stainless slide, and I'm not a fan of forward serrations myself. I'd like to have one!
