I shot mostly at 7-10 yards. It feels very good in my hand. Probably better then any semiauto I've tried. Also, I was very pleased with its accuracy. I did experience some issues though. Out of approximately 210 rounds I had 4 double feeds and, 1 stovepipe. These malfunctions occurred with WWB 115 grain ammunition.

The other ammo I had was 124 grain Aguilla fmj. That worked flawlessly, along with some HST's. Aside from the malfunctions, I love this pistol. Thoughts?

If you are realitively new to semiautos, I would work on your grip a bit. It should be a firm and high grip, with a good forward support from your weak hand (non-trigger hand). It is a new pistol and WWB does run slow sometimes so it could just be a break in. I wouldn't worry much just yet.

I don't know if it's cursed or what, but WWB ammo. has been reported here to have problems with the SR guns for a long time now. I read the reports here and I haven't ever used it.

Have never had a problem with wbb in 9mm. The only thing has been Tula 9mm and not an issue with the sr9 but the lacquer cases hang up in the magazine. Other than that it never skips a beat.

make sure she gets cleaned and lightly lubed, and my best guess is you will get her broken in to no more feed issues. the trigger will get better and your accuracy will get even better as you go.
i carry an SR40, own and shoot often an SR9, and have given three SR9's as gifts to family. all four weapons are keepers. i could carry any one of aeveral other semi autos that i paid a lot more for but my confidence in the SR's is the highest.

Going to the range again Friday. Asked Ruger about my problems with WWB. They said if everything else worked it was the ammo not the gun. IMO, a defense gun should work with all brands of ammo. I hope Friday goes well.

My SR9 hasn't had any issues with over 500 rounds now, mostly Lawman TMJ ammo. Good advice from an earlier poster, clean it good. My new SR9 was the greasiest, grimiest new handgun I ever bought. It had gritty grease in the striker channel and the grooves of the slide. A little Hoppes#9 and some tooth picks and Q-Tips cleaned it up nicely. I've never liked WWB 9mm ammo. Had problems with it in my S&W 9 VE and the rare failure to feed in my old S&W 639. As previously posted, y'gotta break it in a little. My guess, having found this to be true, your gun is most likely to give you jamming issues until you put a few hundred through it. "...unfree shall never be at peace." Patrick Pearse 1879-1916

I've always found the WWB 115gr 9mm problems interesting. It's my primary range ammo for my SR9 and haven't had any problems with it. Mine is the "1.1" version also - probably 4-5 thousand rounds through it now (?stopped counting after a couple thousand?), with a good 70-80% being the WWB. Makes me a little nervous to hear all the reports, but I can put one example of an SR9 that likes it just fine.

It is weird. People swear at it, people swear by it. Maybe a quality control issue. Some batches are great, then the next week...

I ran 100 rounds of WWB through my SR9c without incident. I do find it to be rather dirty.

I'm not sure I would be overly worried about a defensive weapon having issues with one type of ammo, as long as it works fine with everything else. You should be using SD rounds for carry IMO. They should run fine, although I would shoot some, prior to carry, just to be sure. As others have stated, I suspect this issue will go away with break in.
