Picked up my new SR22 yesterday and got out to shoot her today.
Primary purpose for this one is to introduce my bride and 20yo daughter to shooting.
Stripped it down, including the barrel and cleaned it thoroughly. Barrel bolt was barely tight but has the lockwasher. Re-installed barrel with Blue Loc-tite and torqued it down per the instructions.
Lubed her up liberally and reassembled.
Shot about 200 rounds. All Federal Bulk. Had about 5 or 6 fail to fire. Even after resetting. Had about 5 or 6 light loads that ejected the empty but failed to feed a new round.
Hard to tell how accurate it is as we were stuck at 50 ft. Suffice it to say we hit the 8.5"x11" paper consistently. Many in the 9 ring. So I am not too excited yet.
My wife enjoyed shooting it. She did well for her first time out. She even got to shoot a range neighbor's Tanfoglio Witness .45ASP and LOVED it.
All in all a good day. Need to clean up the SR22 and my carry piece.
Next up: Get 20yo Daughter to range to try her hand.
I love when a plan comes together.
