new SR1911

sounds like you found a good one that fits you and works for you, something to look forward to in the coming new year, go out enjoy it, just don't ride it hard and put it away wet.................practice ,practice, practice...(y)(y);)

You have chosen wisely. Congratulations
on your purchase of a nice 1911. I suspect
you will really enjoy it, I really enjoy mine. I
purchased my SR 1911 Full Size 45ACP, Dec.
2011.

The Ruger SR 1911 has been a wise decision
and the best shooting 1911 I've owned. It has
operated flawlessly with my reloads and factory
manufactured ammo. Right out of the box it
appeared to be accurate and I contribute that
to the nice trigger and tightness of manufacturing.

Being a single action, then semi-automatic
it's safeties make it safe to handle. It is easy to
operate, easy to shoot, easy to disassemble/
assemble, and easy to clean.

All makes it easy on me, even grip angle and
sights give confidence of a well made pistol.

The Best to you and your Endeavors.

I've been running mine Ruger SR1911 Night Watchman in 10mm for a while now, and it's one of my favorite 1911s. The 10mm really shines with this platform, giving you power without sacrificing accuracy, and that 5" barrel helps tame the recoil nicely. If you're already getting tight groups at 25 yards, it's only going to get better as you break it in. Ruger did a great job with these, and the Night Watchman's finish and sights make it an excellent choice for both range time and serious use.
