I traded for one on Friday and am picking it up Monday. I will hopefully get out to the range next weekend. I already have about 8 different brands, grains, & bullet types of ammo to shoot through it, so I will try and give it a good workout and follow up with a range report then. In the meantime, I will have to give it a good cleaning and stare at it every day until I get to shoot it. :D

Congrat's on your purchase. I'll be looking forward to your range report.

Yes indeed, I really like my SR40c. It eats every variety of ammo I've tried in it without a burp. Both factory and my handloads. It's also a very accurate pistol and easy to handle for a .40S&W. Easy enough that I use the flat magazine floor plate instead of the finger extension. It's not all that snappy and the felt recoil is quite manageable. Good trigger, good sights, compact, reliable what more can you ask for? It's my favorite winter carry. Mine came with both a 10rd and 15 round magazine but I prefer the 10 for it's better balance.

Yeah, congrats on the choice. I had a couple of issues with mine when I bought it new. A couple of trigger reset problems and light strikes. A really good cleaning of the firing pin and trigger assemblies ended those problems. Don't use too much oil, I also had problems with failure to chamber a new round. Wiped out all excess oil; no more problems. Being new to semi's I didn't realize that. It now had several hundred "row your owns" through it with no problemas. I truely love to shoot this gun. I carry it and always have a hundred rounds or so in the truck just in case i can sneak by the range between jobs. Thinking about a sr9c for my lovely bride, although I let her shoot the 40 sunday and I thought I might have lost the gun. So I had to pull out the LCR and now that's in her car.

You're gonna love it! I acquired a SR40 earlier this year and love to shoot it. Unfortunately, I don't shoot it as often as I would like. I've shot around 500 rounds through it with no real issues. I had 2 reloads that didn't want to function perfectly. I'm still not sure if my partner (who was shooting it at the time) was limp wristing or not, but I adjusted the load with slightly more powder and have zero issues.
