I am getting a Red Nichol's Holsters G1963 "Charade" shoulder holster I think. Any one have any knowledge of this shoulder holster. I have looked at most of the big company products ie Galco etc. His looked like very well made and fit closer to the body. I have and have used the old vertical spring clip Safariland and Bianchi in my younger days also use Gilco today..

Explain what is a fit closer to your body than others. I have had 4 completely different shoulder holsters and they all had the gun against my body. Is it the holster design or harness?

Most harness are very low and can be hard to draw from. They allow the gun /holster to move a lot. Some use belt tie downs to keep the gun/holster from moving a lot but you bend over and the gun wants to look out from under the cover garment. His desire looks like it will stay better. He worked several years at Bianchi in holster design and knew most of the big name holster designers. I think he made the last James Bond holster or one of them.

Not I sure I would say my jack ass hangs to low and is not slow to draw. But, I understand your meaning. I never had a belt loop attached to holster. My big issue is all I have used take 2 hands to reholster. Maybe no big deal for a CCW. Was for me, drawing the gun was common and shoulder holster was put away to use only when doing classroom training or court.
I looked up the photo and it looks well made.

certainly looks like good stuff...... The price is a bit out of my range.... I'll have to stick with my paper grocery sack....... It works great until it rains.. :)

I looked at the Galco Jackass but they don't make a holster for the Colt rail Gun. I called them and they said that the 1911 Rail holster just did not fit the Colt right in their opinion so could not sale it for the Colt Rail Gun. It works and fits for most though. Before the special they were $200 on the web site. For the different in price I get a better setup and it is made for my gun.

Unless you can go to a store and try 1 on, I would make sure any holster you order can be returned if not up to your standards for fit and use.
