I just picked up my new Redhawk 45 Auto-45 Colt from my FFL.

Sham - Sham - Sham someone forgot to put the moon clips in the box.

Glad I bought 6 extras, I'm going to get it out for a test run this coming weekend.

Just think back in 1982 I bought a 5-1/2" .44 Mag and paid $325

Congratulations.
I also Love my 45 acp/45 Colt. If I were you I would call Ruger and let them know it did not come with the moon clips. They will probably send you what it should have came with.

Thanks everyone.

I going to give Ruger a call in the morning.

I also called my FFL guy and asked if by chance they got set aside when he recorded the SN, or if I dropped them at his house when I picked it up.

Was the 5.5" Redhawk AVAILABLE in 1982? I bought one in 1982 and the only available barrel length was 7.5". Did I miss something?!??!!? I would have loved to have the shorter barrel back then! I paid $289 for mine, in Bishop, CA. Them was the days!

That was a long time ago, I bought a lot of guns back then. Might be off a year or so. But was my first big handgun. Fairly sure it was 1982.

Traded my 7.5" for the first 5.5" I had ever seen, in 1983. Didn't know they were an option until I saw it laying in the case in a gun shop.

I really like the looks of these round butt 45's.

VERY NICE! I'd forget the moon clips and go with .45 long Colt...Underwood has some VERY good loads for the .45 LC.

I love the .45LC, Have been reloading for it for a long time. I haven't bought any ammo from Underwood, but have them in my favorites.

And I am not a happy camper at this time, as I received the Moon clips today. They will not allow the cylinder to close with a fully loaded Moon clip. They simply do not seat deep enough.

I know it will be taken care of but really? They only test fired it with .45 LC?

Thank you Ruger for another SLIP past your worthless QC department.

Wow. Three days already since this last post, and nobody apologizing for Ruger. Must be a record.
