I couldn't wait any longer for my SR1911 so today I bought a P345 instead. So far I am very happy with it. I field stripped cleaned and oiled it and the headed over to the range. I shot about 300 rounds FMJ and 20 HP through it without an single jam. It was pretty close to the same accuracy I had when shooting a rental SR1911. I have a few questions about my new P345 maybe someone can answer for me. When is this gun considered broken in? how many rounds?? Also I noticed the double action trigger pull is a very long hard pull, this really didn't bother me but I was wondering if its normal? In single action the trigger pull was similiar to my P95. I figured the double action would loosen up a bit after awhile? Oh yeah, I paid 469.00 for it, it's the blued version with safetys and rail, I think I got it for a fair price? Thanks

I bought a SS slide P345 last month at our LGS for $409 less a $250 trade in on a Taurus 24/7 PRO .45. My Ruger has had about 300 or so rounds through it of various types, Federal Eagle, Blazer, and about four different types of my handloads. Not a single problem with the gun. It's accurate and has a good SA trigger. The DA trigger pull is no worse than my LCP which while heavy isn't all that bad. I like the all metal magazine followers. Overall I'm very impressed with this pistol.

Congrats on the 345! I really like mine, it's an easy shooter, very accurate and has been flawless. I am also surprised at how easy it is to carry even though it's a fairly large gun.
