New on layaway

Put a New Model Blackhawk Bisley in .45 Colt with 7-1/2" barrel on layaway at my favorite lgs this afternoon. Serial number puts it at 1990 manufacture. It has the yellow box, and looks to have never been fired. Has a faint drag mark on the cylinder, but is otherwise pristine.

Cool !!! Sometimes one gets lucky. Last summer I found a NIB .41 mag. Bisley
That was 12 years old. How somebody can have one that long and not shoot it is beyond comprehension to me.

.41 mag. Bisley was my favorite revolver. This thing is a shooter. Just make sure that you have at least 1000 Starline cases, good mold 200-220 grains, or supply of good quality cast bullets, keg of HS6 (some folks prefer Blue Dot), and voila.

The only reason I sold it because I am switching to stainless guns. I guess laziness comes with age, and if there is a scratch on stainless surface, just few strokes with Scotch-Brite, and it's like new.
