new Mk III trigger issue

I went shooting with a friend this afternoon--with his New Mk III. Strange issues, it ejected and reloaded fine, but 1 or 2 times per mag would not cock, and the trigger felt like it had a "tick" or "hitch" prior to release. It's headed back for factory repair!
Anybody experienced a similar deal? any ideas on what the problem is?
AND...my KMK II 5 1/2 shot better than his!
