New LCR357

Buying the LCR357 with the thought that the steel frame will eliminate the flame-cutting which some have claimed has occurred. I'm not giving the claims of flame-cutting any credibility here, but figure that the steel frame will eliminate this if it does exist. Will probably shoot 38's through it 99% of the time. Of course I will have to try the 357's just for the experience.
Is this going to be detrimental to the gun in any way? I'm not that familiar with the difference in dimensions between the two, and whether or not shooting virtually all 38's through it will be a problem.

The .38's are shorter, so it will leave a ring of powder that can make it more difficult to chamer the longer .357. Just keep it clean and not a problem.

Will that be at the muzzle end of the chamber, or on the leading edge of the feeder cone?

A 38 spl case is shorter than the 357 cases. So, the "ring" will be inside the cylinder. All you have to do is carefully clean the carbon out of the cylinder after firing 38's for the 357's to slip in correctly.

I should be picking it up Friday or Tuesday and look forward to at least trying some 357's before regaining my sanity and using the 38's

One question. .38 spec +P is OK to shoot through a .357? I would assume so, but never hurts to ask the stupid question. Just because I have a lot of them around.
