Welcome to the forum. (y)

Probably made in 1966. Here's a link to Ruger's Serial Number Lookup from their web site:

You can also write Ruger and for a whopping $10.00 ( not $100.00 LOL ) they will document for you when it was made and in what configuration:

For more comprehensive info on all things Ruger, you can also inquire about subscribing to RENE. Link here:

Enjoy.

Another question on this gun is I would say 95 plus condition very nice firearm but I never cared for a 10/22 I have a Nylon 66 I love and bought new. I don't have the original 10 roung mag but I have a Ruger BX 25 witch holds 50 rounds and a nice sling. I have not shot this gun and know nothing about it. Anyone have any ideal what it's worth would be. I have a couole offers I don't care for.

Condition is everything.
It's old enough to be the more desirable walnut stock.
Still, it's not common that an old 10/22 brings big money. Exceptions of course are new in box, LOW 2 or 3 digit serial numbers. Finger-groove stock, factory checkered stock, etc.

If it's a standard ordinary walnut and blued 10/22 in excellent condition somebody will probably give you $400.00 for it.
I paid that recently for one because a friend had bought it brand new in 1968 I think. It still has the K Mart brand scope he installed, a bore site kit still in the box, etc.

Folks... DO NOT use Ruger's serial number lookup page for guns shipped earlier than 1981! The only guns that you can look up on there are serial numbers that were originally entered into Ruger's database on a digital system. For older guns than that you have to google "Ruger 10/22 dates of manufacture" and you will find Ruger's yearly serial number lists for 1964 and up.

The 10/22 link is here...
