A friend is driving north from Texas to Wisconsin. Texting them this A M they said only problem is restrooms in some stops are closed or have minimal paper products.

Getting lunch for my family yesterday the restaurant’s bathroom was for staff only. Travel is getting problematic if restrooms are closed and restaurant’s are carry out only.

Have TP can travel may be a new slogan.

Getting ready to travel from Idaho to NM and back next week. Can't say I don't have concerns but I don't really want to miss my mothers memorial. It was set a few weeks ago before this blew up and advertised in the paper and social media. Be difficult to change at this point. Plus I have some legal stuff to deal with, so off I will go with extra TP just in case.

I've always carried a roll or two of TP in all my vehicles. Comes in handy for many reasons.

It is a problem locallly for sure. Restaurants are drive through or delivery only. Dining rooms closed doors locked. No bathrooms.

I can’t find hand sanitizer or masks anywhere. They tell me if I wash my hands a lot I’ll be safe. But I can’t find a sink.

My wife is taking cleaning supplies from home to work to wash her area at the hospital. She has disposable PPE, that she has to wash and reuse, and they are out of cleaning supplies.

The hospital security went through every cabinet and locker in every dept to look for any stock piles of supplies and took them to give to the ER.

Only dine-in locations must have restrooms for customers. So if dine-in is suspended, the requirement to offer restrooms to customer may also be suspended.

I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, but it seems to me that traveling during the current situation is a fairly good way to contract and spread the virus. People fortunate enough to live in communities where there are currently no cases would probably appreciate it if people passing through would stop only for fuel (if necessary) and carry food from home instead of going in cafes and stores to pick up carry-out. Heck, that’s how we traveled on family trips when I was a kid, because eating out was expensive. So I know it can be done.

We’re in a declared state of National Emergency and have been asked to stay home. That seems to me like a pretty small sacrifice to make for the good of the nation.

This is normally the time of year for the great Snow Bird migration. Us northern folks wintering in Arizona, Florida, Texas, etc, Coming back home.

My friend came back a week earlier than normal and arrived just in time for Wisconsin to be “shelter in place”. A couple other folks I know have decided to stay south for the time being. They are talking about tax rules for what is your home state being an issue. With other rules being suspended they wonder if state residency tax law is going to be relaxed.

here in WI all Restaurants are closed to dine in , most have some kind of take out service available, rest areas are open ,, if you need food or gas look for a Kwik Trip station , they are still well supplied in most things as they have their own factory and bakery

MN rest areas are open , ND closed theirs last week, ILL toll plaza are closed to cash payments , just stay on the main line and pay your toll online

most companies think we are , any time they expect us to keep going in a blinding snow storm, or fail to put new wiper blades on in the fall or fix headlights that have gotten out of adjustment or glaze over ,, little things like that tell us just how little value we have :twisted:

quart size, zip lock bag with some wipes in it, then fold up some TP, place that on the outside of the bag , fold the bag over on itself , place this in your car/truck , jeans pocket /purse ect.
