New blackhawk vs New super Blackhawk?

As long as one isn't a an anniversary .357, .44 Special, or flattop .45 convertable. Those are on the medium (SAA size) frame, the normal New Model Blackhawks are the same size as the .44 Mag frame.

the only difference is grip frame size so yes the holster would be the same for both

Not exactly true.......the 4 5/8" and 5 1/2" Supers have the same size grip frame as the non flattop Blackhawks.

I took it that hutchman was pointing out that the 7 1/2" Super has the Dragoon grip frame while the others he mentioned have the same grip frame as other NM Blackhawks (at least, that's what I thought he meant by "Not exactly true").

Spot on

ok I see his and your point your point. I am old enough that to me a super blackhawk IS the dragoon grip frame and everything else is a blackhawk chambered in .44mag. My apologies

I guess I should have continued to state that the 7 1/2" and the 10 1/2" do indeed have the Dragoon grip frame. All four are Super Blackhawks however.

The only "Blackhawk" .44Mag that should be in anybody's mind is the original and 50th anniversary flat-tops.
