Just thought that I would show y'all my latest addition to the fold and my 8th Ruger. It is a '70 model that I got off of GB at a very good price. I was concerned that it would not be in really good shape considering the price. Well, it got here and I was stunned at the condition...and it even had the book with it, but no box. The bluing is great, the grips are great, bore looks like a mirror and it is tight. I am very pleased.

really nice....good catch...how is the trigger? sorta thinking about a comparison between a "now" and "back then"...

This trigger seems to be on par with the new model...It has never really been my opinion that the trigger on the OM is noticeably better.

Now, as for the frame size, it is a lot better and that is my attraction to them.

Jim Luke comes across more good deals than anyone I have ever seen. He can fall in a bucket and come out smelling like a rose. ;-)

Notice he doesn't give his location so we can't horn in on his stomping grounds, and he isn't selling- at least not here  Nice looking gun by the way.

gramps,

I am in south Ga...right up the road from GA Cracker.

There are not really any guns of interest in the pawn shops around here, cause I keep a CLOSE check on them. We live in small towns and that is probably the reason for the slim pickins at the local pawn shops.

very nice!!! especially if it was a good price.

although i like the DA/SA six's and beater SA would be nice to work on. after all it was the buckeye 38-40 10mm convertible that got me back into revolvers.
