New #1AH in 25-06

I asked about this on another forum but I figure I may get some answers here.

I examined a new #1AH in 25-06 today; the GS said it came in this week from Lipsey’s. Brand new in the box, just unboxed 2 days ago.

It had the blond Circassion walnut stock, duplicating the stocks on the Boddington’s, a red pad, polished blue finish, and the Boddington checkering pattern. Next to it, was a similarly stocked 1A in 222 Remington, the 222 Remington had a lower SN# than the 1AH.

Any ideas on this rifle? Is it a one of with this stock and pad? Is Ruger making new 1AH’s?

Anyone else heard of or seen one like it?

Hard to say, but I'd guess it is clean-up of parts (barrels and stocks) from the earlier run. Or, Lipseys contracted for another run.

Interesting, after reading your post, I checked Lipsey's site, they have the 1AH 25-06 listed. $1349. I didn't see any details, looks like the old run photo.

My FFL asked me the other day if I was interested in a Number 1 in 25-06. Said it was a Lipseys, and he could get one. The caliber really never interested me. He didn't mention the Circassion Walnut though! That might have made me think twice!

I went in curious to see if they (GS) had one of the 222s. The one they had was rather plain in comparison to the 1AH. I must have it bad, I have a Lipsey's 1AH in 25-06 and here I am thinking about another!

1300 for a #1?? Puts then out of my affordability range

$1349 is MSRP for all Number 1's. I don't know anyone who actually charges that. Ruger had 97 of these (I'm guessing barrels were there) and asked if we wanted them. Most had circassian walnut and the wrap around checkering on the forend. We are all sold out, but they are in the market.

If any can shed any light on any serial number info on this run of 1AH in .25-06, I can sure use that info for the Ruger Reference.
Same for the 1A in .222 and 1-V in 6.5-.284 Norma
