My wife bought me 10/22 for my birthday last week. She said she hadn’t seen one that was light colored like this in my hoard, and figured it wouldn’t be a duplicate. How cool is that?

She did make me promise to go out and shoot it though and not throw it in the NIB pile. I told her that will NOT be a problem 😁

She sure is purty and your wife is a keeper.

Is the wood a laminate maple or a bleached birch?

They call it a Hardwood Natural Finished stock with black checkering. Sure looks like Birch to me.

The layers aren't uniformed enough to be laminate, it did cross my mind for a second as it does feel heavier than it should.

Yes, model 41275.

Unless I'm missing something, from what I can tell the only difference between this one and model 31229 is the laser engraved logo on the bolt. Otherwise the two Sporters look identical.

The one you have has the R75 prefix in the serial # for the 75th anniversary
Does the model 31229 have the normal serial??? Is it the newer non anniversary model?
Just curious
