Just bought a new stainless 10/22. My other one must be 40 years old. When did they come out with the new magazine release? I like it.

Somebody at Ruger about a year or two ago must have discovered that one of the most sold aftermarket items for 10/22s for the flast 20+ years was an extended magazine release.... now if they would just look at how the bolt lock is designed and smooth out the trigger.

Hello ..... Hello .... R U G E R !!!!!!
blume357 and I would like a bolt lock on our 10/22's

I’m up to seven of these 10/22 and their aftermarket clone things. On the ones that get carried about in the bush they get the extended mag releases swapped back out for the older original factory flush mount release or a just barely extended release for those with the aftermarket triggers. A few minutes spent with a Dremel tool or suitable file will fix what makes the factory bolt hold open thingy ever so annoying.

If Ruger made a Mark III series pistol with a 12 inch barrel it seems someone would end up making a attachable butt stock, then the problem would be solved.
