Built this one from ground up with parts that were given to me, that I had on hand and bought by me as cheaply as possible. Total I have about $175 in it, including the scope. Once I get some nice weather I'll take it out and see what it'll do.

Very nice! My wife fumbles with the mag release on her 10/22 occasionally, that looks like the Ruger accessory extended release on yours, how do you like it?

Captain America, I love this magazine release, it stays out of the way and is a positive release. I also modify the bolt hold to auto release when you pull the bolt back and release it.
22/45, A good friend gave me 4 stocks, and 5 barrels and I have collected bolts, trigger groups, bolt handles, pins, etc. over the years (I just knew pack ratting these things would pay off someday). Some of the trigger groups were given to me by customers when I installed the BX trigger in their guns and did other mods. They had no need for them and they didn't want them so they gave them to me. In turn I'll do little things for them at little or no cost. I got this stock for $20 at a yard sale.
The biggest cost is the stripped receivers but you can find them pretty cheap if you take your time searching. Some times sellers will give a good price if you buy more than one at a time.

RoninPA, I wish I had friends like that! No wonder you were able to build it for so little money. I expect you could build several more just like it.

There are a couple more builds getting ready although one will be with a synthetic stock that I am Cerakoting and the other with a Butler Creek folding stock that I am also Cerakoting (to get away from the standard black stock). I'll post the pictures when they're done.

Ron you done good, I like it.
How come I don't have friends that give me all sorts of 10/22 parts? Nice job at an unbelievable price... but shouldn't the scope be mounted on lower rings? Looks like it's a fur piece above the comb of the stock, but it could be the picture angle.

It could be lower but when I raise it to my shoulder, it gives me a good sight picture and cheek weld so I'm not going to change anything (yet).
A lot of parts I get from customers. I replace/upgrade/repair, etc. and always have the "old" parts in a bag to give back to them. Most all don't have any use for them so they just give them to me or I knock a little off their bill and everyone is happy.
