When it was offered initially,, I looked at it & said; "Ho-hum!"
My go to off duty sidearm is in .357 Sig. It’s another cartridge that was touted initially but now it’s not so popular. It has great ballistics but it’s expensive since few agencies use it. I am concerned that 30 Super Carry will travel the same path.

Sounds like the answer to a pressing question that no one asked. Or the solution looking for a problem.
I've only heard of it a few times.
The problem I see with calibers like this is availability. If you reload great! Unless you need more brass.
And I’ve seen the 30 super carry factory ammo in only one store and it was expensive. I forget the price but it was Scheels. So only the largest gun store around had any.

I bought some online clicked wrong though it was 9mm. Price was in line with the 9 but possible a price cut cause they were trying to dump it Now I'm not sure what to do with it. ( I need to stop going to gun sites tired).
I really like .40 S&W, in part because I reload - that keeps my ammo costs way down (less than factory 9mm) and also let's me load ammo that's not painful to shoot in a pocket pistol. Guess I'm kind of like the guys who shot .44 Specials or .41s, back when everybody & their cousins were buying .38 Specials!
As always IMHO, FWIW, YMMV, one size never fits all, etc.

These 30 SC are supposed to be more pills, but 1 or 2 more pills for more $$$ and low accessibility? Not much sense to me.

I prefer more “bang” and my favorite carry pieces are an SP-101 in .357, one of my compact 1911s or my Kahr Arms CW45.
Always sounded to me like one of those marketing schemes to get us gun igjets to buy another gun or two.....
but then I not only carry a gun chambered in 357 sig but I also bought two Sig Legion pistols and am looking for a third... heck I even have the hat.
