If any one has a information about this rifle it would be greatly appreciated I have scoured the internet and found all I can.
This is what I know
Heym Ruger no 1

matching serial numbers on action and barrel

made by Friedrich wilh. Heym in Munnerstadt/ lower Franconia, Germany

I Called ruger they said it was made 1980 and is model 1300-1A

it is not model 1A because it has the international forearm

Heym bought many actions from Ruger and added his own barrels, stocks, and forearms

Also did engravings on the actions

According to my grandfather it was sold with a Schmit and Bender scope still included

Scope is Schmidt & Bender Klassik 2.5-10x56 I believe

I believe it is a HR30 because it has a round barrel but it has a larger engraved plate on the action than all other HR30's I have seen

Thanks to Ruger1Nut for some great information

Heres an Update I have found a little more information

Ruger sold the actions to Heym in 1980
It was proofed at the Ulm Proofing house in 1981
It was also Proofed at the Munich proofing house no date

It does not fit any of the standard models of Heym Ruger's
It has a round barrel from the H30N standard
The Mannlicher Forend from the HR30L Deluxe
And the Extensive game scene from the HR38N Deluxe
And the scope doesn't fit any of them

the wood is select french walnut

and the trigger is a Canjar trigger which was standard for the Heym rugers

The gun is still a mystery, Im starting to think my grandpa was probably right about there only being three made I just would like to know why they were made or for who

Thanks for the help guys

As to why, I'd conjecture because Heym thought they could sell a few ;-)

As far as for whom, it's hard to say whether this was a contracted build or just a more ornate rifle for someone on the open German/European market with lots of $$$$.

I do find it curious that this was proofed in Ulm or Munich (both in southern Germany and only about 1.5-2 hours from each other) and not in a proofhouse closer to the Heym factory which is much farther north and west.

I used to see the different types of Heym-Rugers advertised for sale in the old Frankonia Jagd catalogue , the German mail order company. I have a lot of these old catalogues.

In JD Claytons book the photograph of an HR30L looks like it has a round barrel and it is engraved. The caption is:
"The Heym-Ruger No. 1 rifle, model HR30L. Deluxe is available with a French walnut Mannlicher style stock. Bavarian cheekpiece and optional engraving of hunting scenes or designs."
