OK, probably not what you are thinking. It isn't some obscure ammo but a simple .22lr. What makes it mysterious is that I found it under a shoe in my bedroom. I can't figure out where it could have come from. I do keep a firearm or two or three around for carry and home defense purposes, but not a .22lr. Those I keep in a safe on another level. I haven't taken a .22 out in over a year or more. I do run a vacuum in the bedroom at least weekly and have steamed cleaned the carpet at least twice in the last year. More than once I have gotten down on the floor with a flashlight to find something I dropped. How could I have missed this round?
Any one else have this happen? Weird.

It's easy for a gringo to miss. Just take your truck to Mexico and they'll find every piece of brass and missing .22's in about 15 seconds or less

Under your shoe or the wife's?

Watch your back, she may be packin' heat.

I bet it got carried in stuck to the bottom of a shoe. Look at the sole of the shoe it was under, I bet the .22 will fit between the lugs.

A subtle message from the Mob?

This is my thinking as well. Have you ticked off anyone recently that might like to see you swim with the fishies? :P

Of course, if you have a cat, he could be trying to tell you something as well..

I'm sure it didn't get stuck in the soles of my shoes. Besides it wasn't scuffed up. I haven't been walking anywhere that I could pick one up in a shoe. I will have to think a bit more.

Could it have been under the bed all this time, and somehow managed to get out from under the bed? Maybe you had some in a pocket or something and it fell behind a headboard or under the bed?

possibly in a pants pocket and was hung up in the closet, eventually made it's way out and onto the floor.

These would be my guesses too or, possibly if you have any pants with cuffs in them, it was in a cuff.

It's the penalty for removing the tag that clearly states: "Don't Remove Under Penalty of The Law" hint, hint, hint......

Penalty? I'll remove all the tags I can find if it gets me more .22 ammo!

That 22 round could have dropped there by no telling how many means. Your Guardian Angle could have dropped it out of her wing feathers while flying around you dropping off love and blessings. Or your Wife could have a man friend and he was playing with one of your 22s or a thousand things in between that. Life can just be a mystery some times I've got six little pieces that fell of something I own and I've looking for months on what they fit on......
