My son is graduating BCT - Fort Jackson

My youngest son, Travis, has finished BCT at Fort Jackson and he will be graduating next week. I am very proud of him, his decision and dedication to serve his country. He will be going to Fort Sill for AIT after graduation. His MOS is 13B - Cannon Crewman. After they told him that his original choice, 31B - MP wasn't available he chose to make things go 'Boom'. I, and the rest of his family will be attending Family and Graduation Day next Wednesday and Thursday. Hooah!

The army was accommodating by creating a Company profile on Facebook and posting updates and pictures of the enlistees training. Below are just some of the pictures they provided.

Are you going to the graduation ceremony? My daughter went through there two years ago and we attended graduation. They put you into bleachers facing the parade ground and you sit and wait for awhile. Then they set off a bunch of explosions in the forest beyond, throw smoke out onto the parade ground, and the troops come running out and form up. When the smoke clears, there are four or five companies of warriors standing in formation. It is an awesome and teary experience. I highly recommend it.

Congrats to the young man. But, gosh they all look so young. Yet these are the one's we've always entrusted out country's security to. So far they haven't let us down, and I doubt these young people will either.
