Every year at our Friends of NRA banquet, we have a custom cowboy gun donated. This year the Cajun Cowboy Gun of the Year will include this part in the Ruger revolver. This part is direct from the Ruger factory with a letter of authentication. I'm just going to include one view of the part to see if anyone can guess what the final product will be. Oh, this part is a 1 of 1 kind of thing from Ruger. As the revolver's custom work progresses, I'll post more pictures.

I'd say some kind of .45 caliber Bisley. That looks like the standard Bisley cylinder that is in my gun so that would seem probable to me. Excited to see it.

Yep....I think I may have heard about this one. It is a .45 Caliber Blackhawk Bisley convertible where Ruger has agreed to also rollmark the .45 ACP cylinder with their Bisley motif.
Heck, before I saw this picture I was thinking it would be a stainless gun....but even a blue Bisley convertible is unique, let along having both cylinders rollmarked.
(The stainless Acusport Bisley .45 Convertibles you may all remember only have the main cylinder rollmarked where the extra cylinder is not rollmarked).
Whoever hears a sn of this gun, be sure to report it so we can get that one documented in the Ruger Reference.

Here's the Cajun Cowboy Gun of the Year test fired for accuracy. Now it's off to Turnbull Restoration for color case hardening of the frame. Then some custom grips and she's all ready for our banquet.

Who did the custom work? I see rounded butt, front sight base/rear sight, and it looks like the trigger guard was scalloped or something.

The custom work you see was done by one of our committee members, Dan Calvert. He's a pretty talented guy. He has built the Cowboy gun for our banquet for many years - first one in 2001. So far it's been either a Marlin lever gun or a Ruger single action.

I was fortunate to be high bidder in 2003 for this beauty. Boy does it shoot too.
