Folks, I posted info about my event last week. We had a great one. 352 people attended, and we had 47 guns leave the place with happy attendees.
Tuesday evening we had a post event meeting, where we got our numbers. It looks like we hit $46,882.00 net raised. We also have 4 guns left over,,, we are going to sell, (Kimber SS Ultra Carry models,) at a wee bit over our cost. That will put about $2600 or so back into our account. Then the total will be $49482.00 approximately. We are going to do a few things to push us over the $50,000 mark.
And,, I have a bit of news about a screw-up on my part.
I didn't check my mail box friday as I headed to the event. A GREAT member here, Zane Thompson of Lone Star Custom Grips, (LSCG) who has GENEROUSLY donated grips to us in the past to help, had once again shipped me 2 pair of grips for the Ruger 22/45. I didn't get them until monday, when I checked my mail. MY FAULT!!!!!!!!
I've checked with Zane, and he has agreed to allow me to do as I wish with these grips. I'd made a suggestion to him & he says what I do is fine by him.

So, here is my plan.

I want to offer these grips here, to our members, for a donation to my FoNRA event.

For a $75 donation, you will receive one of the two sets of grip panels. Of course, the first two folks who post will be the only ones I can accommodate. I'll get pics up later today, IF,,,,,,, IF this is acceptable & there is any interest to help my event reach it's goal of $50,000!

Any interest???????

I would but alas, I don't have nor do I plan to get anything that they would fit. Nice grips though and I really like those maple ones.

Herr Messer,,, they will fit a 1911,,, but notice the slight difference at the top of the grip panel for the left side. See the cut out for the Rugers? It might not have any effect on how you feel wit them.
I may put a set on one of my 1911's to see how they look.
Stainless or blue? Which do you prefer?

OK HerrMesser, I went to install the buckeye burls on one of my 1911's and the r/h panel,,, went on, nice & snug. However,,, the left panel is a tad too long at the top. It will not fit under the spring/pin tube for the slide lock & safety,,,, WITHOUT a little sanding. But the holes do align & the r/h panel looked good. If you wish, I can shoot a pic of that side & post that. But if you put them on a 1911,,, you'll need to sand a little off the top,,, & then they will fit.

Let me know!
