My first "shipper" gun - SS Security Six

Last week I got my first boxed Ruger with the original shipper. I have other ones with the original boxes, but this is my first with the shipper. It is a very nice GA-34 Security Six, stainless with the 4" barrel. Light turn ring is the only flaw I can see. Also included was a couple of sets of target grips and a nice leather holster. I get it all in a face to face deal for $400, which I think was a fair price :wink: Does this oficially make me a collector?

Never find any deals like that, for them to still have the plastic, gun must not have been shot much, good score

Those Security Sixes are fine sixguns for sure! I have a 153 prefix 4" stainless that has seen A LOT of use over the years. Digested many a heavy load and done so without a hitch as well. I vaguely remember when mine looked that nice:-) You scored a dandy for sure.

Great looking Security Six. Yes one won't be enough. Still in my opinion the most underrated revolver ever made and Bill Rugers bet SA/DA revolver.

Yes, the double action bug, the single action bug, and the Browning Double Auto bug too. Who knows what bugs lurk in my future. But don't send the Orkin Man, I'm enjoying my bugs!
