Warren-Stratton Hardware in Memphis? I vaguely remember it. I got my letter back today on my OM Blackhawk and Warren-Stratton was the first place that revolver was shipped to in 1968. So in 50 years it's only traveled 150 miles...

Stratton-Warren Hardware was a hardware wholesaler that supplied local hardware stores. They were located in a large multi-story warehouse/office building in the old warehouse area in southwest Memphis, near the old train stations.

It was in an area I seldom visited, but is being sort of revitalized. I believe the old building is still standing and the logo may still be visible.

Critch, are you saying that your factory Ruger letter states that your revolver shipped to that Memphis hardware store? If so, you are the second person in weeks that has said their letter gave a shipping destination. Previously Ruger would not give any shipping info out when requesting a letter. This is good news from Ruger that puts a little connection with someones gun. I may have to follow up on several of my letters.
