Maybe you have your own candidate?

I just picked up a 6 1/2" New Model 357 blued Blackhawk, maybe 98% metal finish. I just HAD to stop in and check the showcases at lunch... 8)
Aside from the six carbon rings on the front of the cylinder, I see no evidence of use.
Has the 9mm cylinder (unused) in the white box. Walnut grips of course, old but no wear, no tear. S/N puts it late? 1982. As-new for a 30+ year old piece. It had a GOOD price, so I put my normal procrastination aside and brought it home.
It fits a few holsters and woods-stompin belt rigs I have, so I plan on working it out soon, possibly this weekend in the high pines above Jerome ???

I've had and sold a couple of the same model, they just seemed a workingman's SA with not much pizazz at the times. This one may change my mind. PLUS its a convertible that will eat up any 9mm misloads I might crank out, which otherwise might stall in a lesser pistol (autoloaders both).

1 - in prime as-new condition, what would you consider a GOOD price on this?
2 - What would be your idea of a "boring" Blackhawk?

I vote for yours. Now I want one too. Got a GP100 and SP101 but one like yours would finish it off. It won't be as flashy as my flat top 45 Colt with ebony grips. The 357 may be boring to some but I like it. Of course my kids think I am boring too.

Boring? Maybe.

Boring because common yet not common in great shape.

But is a three caliber gun all that boring?

If bored with a unit, one can sell to someone that would be happy to have it as built or to build to suit.

None of them are boring really.

Down here it would be worth $380 with both cylinders.

Prices are regional.

I really like the versatility of a good .357 single action, boring or not. For some reason we just don't see those up here west of the cascades. If I saw that for $400 I would have to buy it in a heartbeat.

I kinda hate buying as-new 30-year old guns! I can never figure out whether to holster them or pack them into my favorite shootin' canyon...
This ain't no museum. Guns get fired.

Never ever, never, ever run into one in the sense you are meaning.... Unless you are talking about boring holes... and they all do that :) .

Guns get fired. Of course :) ... And '82 isn't that old ... I graduated from High School that year.... Not old at all :) .
