I'm having at least one FTF every magazine with two diff ammo brands. Federal AutoMatch and Remington standard high velocity. Gun is new and while I did clean before firing, was unable to break it down. Going to attempt this again and wondering if there was anything specific to look for while I have it apart. The FTF shells will cycle and fire when reloaded in magazine. Suggestions appreciated. Trigger reset is also iffy, not resetting itself 100%.

When you experience an FTF, is there a firing pin indentation on the cartridge rim?

Now that I think about it, no. I think it's all in the trigger reset. I did finally get it all torn down, good cleaning and relube. Hope it loosens up a bit, that thing was a bear to get apart and back together. Feels better, back to the range to see if it made a difference.

Simple solution.... get rid of the mag disconnect. Do a search for the Sam Lam bushing, and install one while discarding the mag disconnect.

You are but one member of a very large crowd who has had the same problem.

The mag disconnector is not the problem if the trigger feels disconnected when you pull it. If the mag disconnect is activated the trigger feels connected but you cannot move the sear because it is captured by the mag disconnector hook. (Just like when you've activated the thumb safety) What kind of trigger do you have in your pistol? (aftermarket VQ or stock) If you have a stock trigger then look toward the pistol disconnector lever or the trigger reset plunger. If you have any friction on the lever it will stick and not pop fully upward. You may also be experiencing rubbing inside the receiver tube on the lever, you can check for this by removing the bolt and peering inside. If the silver tab on the right of the hammer is touching the tube you may have enough friction to cause intermittent FTF's.
