I am have a problem with mini 30. Every time it shoots the trigger housing seperates and from stock. It is secured tightly and snaps in place but falls out on next shot. Is this a pin issue? What are some ideas.
After you lock it in, try pulling the rear of the trigger guard straight down (not to the rear and down). If it pops down, it isn't locking closed all the way. If that's the case try squeezing the rear of the receiver down against the stock while locking the trigger guard and see if that works.
If you're pulling straight down, (and not to the rear & down), it shouldn't come out at all.
When you close the trigger guard does the very end of it click into place in the housing? Then in order to remove it again, do you have to pull the trigger guard toward the rear (to unlatch it from the housing) and then down? If you answered No to both questions, try this.
Hold the rifle with the mag well facing up and while you're squeezing the rear of the receiver down into the stock itself, use a soft plastic/nylon or rubber hammer and smack the top rear of the trigger guard downward to lock it into place. The trigger guard should pop into the correct position and lock into the trigger housing.
Sometimes the stock will swell and the trigger housing just won't sit as deep into the stock as it should and that will prevent the trigger guard from locking shut properly.
I think I got it now mountain william. I slightly bent it to make it snap tighter. We shall see if this does the trick. I am going to fire some rounds later today and see what comes of it.
