Very nice Mini 14 Ranch chambered in .223 with sling and Simmons scope.
I have added a couple pictures of the butt stock.
Those more knowledgeable, please chime in, so we may learn something.

This is the RARE Ranch Rifle as it has the rifle style buttplate rather than the later more common carbine buttplate. Ruger changed the design because the toe of the stock would crack if the rifle were set down too hard on its rifle buttplate. Changing to the more rugged carbine style cured that.

That stock must be somewhat rare. I've seen a couple of those in photos, but I've never seen one in person....Just looking, I'm guessing that it gives the rifle a longer LOP, which is something that the more traditional curved-butt stock was lacking in...If so, it could be a selling point....Either way, it's a nice looking old rifle...Good luck on the sale.

Only reason for the sale is to help finance another SBH I am chasing.

I just looked at my older Mini RANCH in 222 and see it has a stock with the traditional rifle style but plate
