Memorabilia Page

So I have been a member here for many years and I and many others collect the memorabilia from Ruger and other firearms makers and I always wondered how come there is not a Memorabilia page. Just a thought it could be for those who like to show their items as well as informational to the new collectors that aren't aware of the memorabilia that is out there telling the Ruger story and history.

I too collect a lot of the Ruger memorabilia stuff. I have some odd, some rare, some unusual, items.
As for a special page,, well, I think the stuff falls under "Collectables" here.

Another thought,,, too many "sub-sections" can get overlooked & such. I know of one Forum, that must have 50 subsections. (Well, maybe not that many, but it seems that way!) I do not visit but maybe 5-6 of them.
Too many,, can cause folks to overlook something, or not get the type of interaction fewer places might.

EDIT; I just checked the other forum, and counted the sections & sub-sections. It has a total of 69 places to visit. So my guess of 50 was actually LOW!!!!

We don't need more,, in my humble opinion.

I agree to many subsections makes the page to busy, however you mentioned the collectibles page that is not a page title that deals with collectibles it says Ruger & Other Firearm collecting so it technically is driven towards firearms only. I understand what you mean though and everybody does post a lot in there including myself. I just thought that there is so much firearms memorabilia out there that its own page would be able to thrive as well no big deal though. Thanks

We've got 20 different sections here and I only go to four of those... the one other gun forum I go to I visit 5 on it. A man has to know his limitations and one of mine is I can only concentrate on one or two things at a time.

True.

However,, over the many years here,, with this place being a more relaxed & casual Forum,, those of us who do collect memorabilia, have always used that section for our goodies. Nobody has complained,, and it has worked.

It's easy to visit other forums,, (and even this one,) to see that many folks do not frequent some sections very much. As the old saying goes; "Less is more!"

PLEASE,, do not hesitate to post memorabilia stuff there. LOTS of us do enjoy seeing goodies,,, especially things we may not have or know of!
