Match Game

I wasnt even alive at that time

I keep telling myself I'm not old, just well used and worn.....then folks post stuff like this and it brings back enjoyable memories of movies, shows and even commercials from back "then". It's all fine and dandy until someone replies they weren't even born yet....

But then again there are folks on here that are 20 plus years my senior......;)

I enjoyed the one on in the 70's. Both the day and night shows. Gene Rayburn and Bert Convy were good hosts and the panel guests were funny.

I know there were some others afterwards but I don't recall seeing them. A while back I came across it and Alec Baldwin was the host....I couldn't stomach him, and that was before his gun incident BS. There's a new one now with Martin Short but I haven't seen it.

Nothing will compare, in my opinion, to the time of Rayburn/Convy and the panel guests of those times.

Gene Rayburn served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. He went on to fly combat missions in the Pacific Theater with the Thirteenth Air Force and was stationed at Anacostia Naval Base. [1, 2] . Second Lieutenant Rayburn flew 89 combat missions. He flew a B-17E Flying Fortress famously named "Yankee Doodle,"

Alick Baldwin is a creepy guy . He was the Match Game host for while until he murdered someone on a movie set

Gene Rayburn was great and so was his skinny telescopic microphone

I still watch Match Game almost everyday. There's a game show channel that has it. I still love it after all these years.
