I believe the dark series was introduced prior to the Ruger purchase, Ruger is just bringing them back, as I understand it, with their own unique features….this series was a good seller in the past, that is why I am sure Ruger is re-introducing it.

It's nice to see Ruger building heavy artillery that can be used in a conflict, so the family heirlooms can stay safely tucked away in the back of safe.

Well if I lived in the boonies in Alaska-maybe in 45-70. But I would have to put a paper bag over my head for fear of being laughed at by Bullwinkle and Smokey.
No still plenty of AR's as long as they're HBAR. Even AK variants. At least we are finally allowed to hunt with straight wall Rifle Rounds. We can still even use drum mags as long as we took possession of them across the bridge.
