Mark series holster I stumbled on, from Sportsmans Guide....

While buying two other items, came across this holster.
Might wanna check this out this, not expensive, KYDEX holster.

Constructed well, can easily be set up left handed, works with or with out a scope, and adjustable retention using a screwdriver.

Own a Mark 2 22/45 ,stainless 5 1/2 " bull barrel...perfect fit.
Looks to me would work well with any Mark series,and built to last as long as the gun.
Adjusting tension would take a screw driver and one minute.

I have one for my 22/45 and it works great except after I put on a VQ compensator the gun won't go into the holster. Comp is too thick.

So, until I find an open front for my Mark III I'm going to use a bag.

ADD SOMETHING AS THICK AS A SILENCER TO THE END OF THE BARREL...YA MIGHT NEED A BAG LOLOLOLOLOL!

But would it be a safe bet, you would agree...
Those without aftermarket parts that ENLARGE BARREL SIZE,should check this holster out ? :lol:

That's the holster I have and even loosening it up it will not work. I am getting an Ernie Hill Speed holster that I know will fit the bill for what I need. I don't need the speed, just something that will let me put the gun in securely.

That Black Dog holster for the Ruger Mk-series has been around for years and is sold by many dealers. Tactical Solutions sell a relabeled version of it under their name too. It works very well for the MkII and III and 22/24 variations. It's functional but not perfect for the new MkIV.

If you are going to mount a red dot on the gun, the mounting rail has to be shortened in front to use this holster.

Not sure what the need is for a holster for a target pistol. I only buy holsters for guns that I carry or might be carrying, and I can't imagine ever having a reason to carry my new Mark IV pistol.

I have one of the Fobus holsters and like it for range use and/or for a pistol with optics attached. It leaves a lot of the pistol exposed to bumps, dings, and dust. And yes, you can use a muzzle attachment IF it's barrel diameter or slightly smaller.

I've never found Kydex to be particularly hard on gun finished, either blue or stainless. I have a 9 year old blued Les Baer 1911 that been carried, drawn from and reholstered in Kydex all it's life and the holster wear is minor and certainly no worse than a snug fitting leather would have done.
