mark lll springs help

I bought a wolff pistol performance spring kit. It came with 3 springs,
One spring is a heavier recoil spring, one is thighter hammer spring, and the other one is a lighter trigger spring. I put the lighter trigger sping in...didn't seem to change much...maybe more trigger travel. But why would you use the other springs.
Any thoughts?? Thank you

Not sure about the "thighter" hammer spring but I think you meant "lighter" hammer spring. If it is, in fact, a lighter hammer spring, if installed, it might make the overall trigger pull lighter in weight. But, for me, I'd be afraid of light hammer strikes after installing that spring, thereby causing missfires. I've already had to install a "heavier" hammer spring in my Mk II Slabside since it was missfiring badly as it came from the factory. With a heavier hammer spring now it almost never missfires.

Now, a heavier recoil spring? I wouldn't install it either unless I felt really confident that I was shooting some sort of ammo that was somehow "hotter" than what normal .22 Ammo is loaded to by manufacturers and I would be shooting it much more than any other type.

All this is just my $.02 worth.

yes, I meant lighter..I shoot, don't type!!
I've never had a missfire in any of my marks, unless I was using old ammo.
I just wanted to get a little lighter,crisper trigger pull, and I wasn't sure if to get this action I had use all the springs.
