Sorry I posted in the wrong place first time. (thanks Boomer)

I just came into possession of a Burris 4x long eye relief 1" pistol scope and thought I would stick in on my Mk III Hunter. I have a pair of Weaver style rings but they are "low" ones and I would have to remove the rear sight to use them. I don't want to do that so I will need either medium or high rings. Do any of you know which would clear the rear sight? Also thought about using the Ironsigher's see through but have never even seen a pair in real life and don't know if they will work on the Ruger Weaver style base or if they are even a good idea. The idea of still being able to use the iron sights does sound like a neat idea. Been using a couple different red dots on this pistol so the base is already installed.

I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on mounting this scope on my Mk III

Drove over to Gander Mountain today to check on the rings. "See throughs" I don't think will work as the sights would not be visible do to the height of the base of the rings. Checked different mfg. of rings and it seems one mfg. high is the same height as another mfg. I am going to have to use "high" rings to clear the rear sight. They didn't have the rings I need in silver but had them in black. I passed on the black and will order some in silver.

Prices are high at Gander Mt. but the service and assistance I received was top drawer even to the point of taking the pistol back to the shop and fitting some medium rings to see if they would do and confirming that I need high rings.

I use the quick release rings from Leupold and Warne. They each have mediums.

Thanks Kilbro, the mediums wouldn't give me enough height to clear the rear sight so I have ordered a pair Leu's in high.
