nope, as BH73 said above, need the basics of the gun, as that is what the catalog number is, barrel length, sights or not, polymer or steel frame, blued or stainless steel..........thats it in a nutshell
If your gun was indeed built in 1984, then shouldn't be too tough to identify what model it is.
You would have the following models to choose from:
Blue models (fixed sights) = MK4 and MK6
Blue models (adjustable rear sight) = MK512, MK678 and MK10.
Stainless models (fixed sights) = KMK4 and KMK6.
Stainless models (adjustable rear sight) = KMK512, KMK678 and KMK10.
Deciphering info from my reference:
"MK" = blue MARK II.
"KMK" = stainless MARK II.
"4" = 4-3/4" tapered barrel with fixed sights.
"6" = 6" tapered barrel with fixed sights.
"512" = 5-1/2" bull barrel with adjustable sights.
"678" = 6-7/8" tapered barrel with adjustable sights.
"10" = 10" tapered barrel with adjustable sights.
