Mark I (T-512) Question

I just picked up a 1965 vintage Mark I target pistol, model T-512. The gun has a trigger shoe attached to the trigger (duh!) that is held on with two (2) allen head screws. .050 wrench required to loosen/tighten.

My question is the trigger shoe a ruger provided accessory or after market and what is this pistol worth. I would rate it at 95% conservatively.

I think the shoes are an aftermarket item

1965 in 95% here in the AZ area can be had for $225.00-$250.00 and in fact sold a 65 in like condition for that price range

Thanks...did some research on the gun using RENE book...my T512 has the correct period Ruger walnut target grips....it may be a T512W, what would that do to the value? would the box reflect that the pistol was shipped with the walnut target grips?

Not a factory item. If the shoe is steel, it's most likely a Williams. I don't believe Melvin Tyler offered his in steel.

I have both a T512W and T678W, with boxs and paper work.
I value each gun at $550.00. I would buy every mint T512W
that I could find at $225.00-250.00. JMHO
