I dissembled my mark 3 today for the first time to clean it, however on the last part, when you have to move the leveler to the handle the pin comes down with it from the top of the gun it does not stay in at the top.

Please help :)

You, have to point the gun barrel up at a 45 degree angle and give it a little shake, then close it. That will allow the main spring to put that little metal dingle berry in it's proper place. Here is a pretty good video on the Dissemble and reassembly. It explains it pretty good.

thanks the video helped, I was not pulling the tigger so that silver square was not pushed all the way back.

When I hit the magazine release it does not pop out :(

Is this an issue now?

Ruger has some very good videos on this. Look for Tech Tips or Videos in News & Resources.

Biggest problem is the user-cant follow directions.

thats not nice....
sometimes things can be a little tricky,
i have had it go together on the first try before but i have also have had a tough time getting it back together...

:?

I have to agree... most complicated directions I've ever read.... I thought last time I broke mine down I could get it back together with out the directions... no way!

At least for me it's not 'read the directions' and put it back togetheer... it's read each move... do that move... read the next little part and do that.... for 3 pages and about 20 different moves.

I skipped the written directions and went to a video of it on youtube, knew exactly what I needed to do, just doing it was a real pain. it's a rediculous design.

Following instructions can be tough.

Once you've done it 2 or 3 times, with the directions, it's a piece of cake. Not having the mag safety in mine makes it a lot simpler, you no longer need the magazine at all to strip or reassemble. I can field strip mine, or put it back together, about two minutes each, and that's being careful.
