I found 6 30 round magazines, stamped RUGER P.85 9mm I did not know Ruger had these available than and I carried a P85 for my work in law enforcement. I only have now a P 89 and they work fine in it. Question, How common are these?? Thank you for any info.

I bought a Pro-Mag 30 round and a 15 round 35 or so years ago. Ugly, don't fit to well, but worked. The big one actually held 27 rounds. I attempted to drill witness holes, and found out the rounds do not fit the same as the factory mags. I ended up with witness slots.

They are really good for when some guy lines up next to you at the range with a Tec-9 or a Mac10, and starts going "Bang-Bang-Click-Dang-Clear-Repeat". Cram 27 rounds in the long mag, slap it into the P89, run 27 rounds out the business end without a hickup, shrug, get back out a 15 round mag and continue trying to put the hole in the middle of the circle.

One of these maybe?

Hawkeye, good catch the mags lock up in my P89, (corrected post) I loaded up 30 rounds in one, and fired with out a problem, if they are promag (no markings) they seem to be a quality mag.
(As I said in a previous thread. my experience with the P85.P89.P93 strong. realible. always worked even with minimum maintenance, maybe not the tack driver, but it could have been the operator.)
