mark 1 scope mount

Welcome to the Forum!
I would look into a no drill/no tap type of mount. Ones offered by Weigland or B-Square are just fine.

You can still use the iron sights. Looks a bit clunky I admit, but, no holes required. I matches the black plastic grip panels faily well. Installation is easy as can be, as is removal. It actually comes fairly close to zero when reinstalled. That was sorta surprising.
 
I have not tried it or know who made it, but I have a scope mount that replaces the right grip panel on a Ruger auto pistol. It seems to be a solid way to mount a scope. I will have to dig it out to see what model frame it fits. Picked it up somewhere over 25 years ago. It is made of aluminum.
 
I also have the same solution. Really easy to install, and it works. Although the scope itself adds quite some weight. May replace the scope with my red-dot, instead
