Tried out my SR1911 for the first time 2 weeks ago. Consistently shooting low. Not knowing what else to do, swapped the flat mainspring housing for a Colt Arched mainspring housing. Took it to the range again, with a couple of my Colt's. With the arched mainspring housing I'm getting the same 4" group at 25 yards from the SR1911 that I get from my Colts. Was getting a bit warm, 90ish, so I gave the Ruger a rest to cool off and began firing my Colts. Thats when I discovered my Colt's feel thinner in my hand than the Ruger. Hmmmmm........
