very seldom really except for 22 magazines or those where one shoots LOTS of reloads, that have been lubed too much.......a soak in kerosene,spray them down, blow out the excess, if you can take them apart, then do so, but I've seen some folks take theirs apart so many times they loosen them up, and I've seen MANY MORE that were never taken apart and still work....to me it is more of what,how and often they were used (dropped on the ground?)
Inspection is the key word here......
