M77 Tanger Bedding

I have a 6mm that was always a little disappointing accuracy wise. I had it glass bedded many years ago and the results were great. Just sorry I waited so long.

Same here my 1981 in 270 WCF was always a bit irratic, it had a light profile 22" barrel of I guessed questionable quality. Glass bedded the acton & base of the barrel with the rest floated settled it in nicely. Shot that factory tube out & had a nice Benchmark stainless installed. Shoots everything about 1 MOA now.

My buddy shoots his 1986 M77 as it came out of the box. No pillar or glass bedding. I’ve shot it, and it’s pretty close to moa accurate. I just cleaned it up for him, put SS action screws, and a new trigger guard. Light oil on the friction parts and I torqued the action screws very light-around 15 in-lbs. Barrel doesn’t touch the stock and it’s more than hunting accurate imo. 7mm Rem Mag. I like the rifle a lot.
