M77 280 REM Value?

A guy at work has offered to sell me is NIB M77 280 rifle. It's blued with a walnut stock. He said he bought it new and got a pretty good deal on it. He bought it during his divorce and it's sat in the box ever since. He's asking $450, with some accessories. Do you think it is worth it?
