I have a used 10-22 I recently purchased and noticed that the trigger group assembly has some side to side play within the receiver, the two pins that hold the trigger group in the receiver seem to fit snug, it's as if the assembly is a bit too narrow or the receiver opening was machined a bit wide.
I was able to cut a couple flat strips of aluminum a length that fits between the two pins, I slid them in between the trigger group assembly and the receiver on both sides and it appears to have got rid of all the slop. Anyone else here encounter this issue and see any problem with my remedy using the shims?
