Been trying to find some good target grade lead bullets for my new 480 Ruger Super Redhawk. I can find a lot of hunting grade gas check bullets but not the target grade.

Any ideas or links for me guys?

I cast my own.
Basically the best way to get what you want is to cast some. Not enough selections out there to suit me.

Here are some good, relatively inexpensive, ones. I have used their 44 and 45 bullets and am more than pleased.

There is no shortage on variety if you go to either Montana Bullet Works

or Bear Tooth Bullets.

Thanks so much guys, this helps very much. I have been trying to find a couple of good bullets for my new acquisition.

Hey Contender, what mould are you using? I could find only one and I think it was an RCBS and they wanted $134.

Any suggestions for a good lead bullet for a hunting load???

check out accuratemolds.com if Tom doesn't have what you like he will make a mold to suit you. Thats what I did the 48-420V is my version of the cp wln. I really love my bullet the accuracy amazes everyb time I shoot it.

I have shot 3 or four selections from Montana Bullet works in my 480 SRH. All excellent.

Typical group off the bench, 25yards

Well, I started with a cheap Lee mold casting a 400 grn bullet. Funny thing,, the derned thing shoots those boolits pretty good. BUT,,,, if you want a good quality mold, you can do what many of us are doing,,, getting in on a group buy of one of the finest bullet molds you can get. Zeus is heading up a group buy for a mold for the 480's over on the cast boolits forum. He did a link here,, in the reloading section a few weeks ago. I have several of the Miha molds,, and they are the finest craftsmanship of molds I've found. It'll take a "waiting period" for him to get all the orders in & actually build the mold,, but the wait will be worth it. And,, his molds aren't cheap,, but better than the $134 you listed.
Go into the reloading section & look for Zeus's post.
