I have just run across a Winchester Model 37 in 410 ga. I would rate the conditon 50% at best but for $110.00 it will work. What I would like to know would you refinish the stock and reblue the receiver/Barrel? I do realize that it would NOT increase the value but for a hunting gun who cares. Any advise would be helpful. Oh, by the way it is the model that had the Winchester name in red.

Personally, I would leave it like it is...all original. The Red Letter .410s are very scarce....even at 50% it is what it is. It will hunt just as well in its current/original condition as it will after a reblue. JMHO

Clean off any rust with bronze wool and penetrating oil (like Kroil) and leave it as is, unless it is missing parts. I have the one I bought in 1952 and still use it for rabbit hunting and as a spare. They are classics, especially .410s! Where else can you get a GENYOOWINE PRE-64 Winchester for $110.00? Does yours have the 28" or the 26" barrel?

Good FInd!!!

great price. I too would leave it as is..

I have 12g and 20g..would like to find all 5.

On the bottom next to trigger guard does it say 'winchester' in red letters?
