I wouldn't have been able to leave that gun unfired all these years!!
I never did notice if the guy said if it was in .44 Magnum or .45 Colt or what?
I agree that it would be hard to buy that gun "for a song" and then feel bad about it. But it probably wouldn't have happened that way with me. She would have showed me the gun and said $400. I would have choked. I can see the quality just from the pictures but I would have had no idea what the true value was. So I would have offered her $800 with value unknown. She would have been happy. Later in that day I would have been even more happy! (Then I would have lowered the value because I would have taken it straight to the range!!!!!!!)
Imagine what she would get if she took it to a pawn shop!!!
But knowing what we know now..... if it was my Mom or a family friend, I would be taking a bunch of photos and listing it on gunbroker. Well, not my Mom because I wouldn't sell one of Dad's guns!
